Shipping Locations
We currently ship eligible products throughout the United States.
Some products, including fresh produce, refrigerated foods, frozen foods, and certain perishable items, may be available for local delivery or in-store pickup only.
Order Processing
Orders are processed during normal business hours:
Monday – Friday
10:00 AM – 6:00 PM (Central Time)
Orders are typically processed within 1–3 business days after payment is received.
Orders placed on weekends or holidays will begin processing on the next business day.
Shipping Methods
We use trusted carriers, including:
- USPS
- UPS
- FedEx
- Other regional carriers when appropriate
Shipping methods are selected based on the size, weight, destination, and type of products ordered.
Shipping Rates
Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on:
- Package weight
- Package dimensions
- Delivery destination
- Carrier rates
Customers will see the shipping cost before completing their purchase.
Free Shipping
Free shipping promotions may be offered periodically and will apply only to qualifying products and orders.
Local Delivery
We proudly offer local delivery to eligible customers within our designated service area.
Delivery fees and availability are calculated at checkout based on your delivery address.

In-Store Pickup
Customers may select Free In-Store Pickup during checkout.
Pickup orders are generally ready within 1–2 business days, unless otherwise noted.
Customers will receive an email notification when their order is ready for pickup.

- Iowa-made Specialty Foods (when permitted)
Products Not Available for Shipping
Certain products may only be available for local pickup or delivery, including:
- Fresh produce
- Refrigerated foods
- Frozen foods
- Fresh meats
- Eggs (where shipping is impractical or restricted)
- Fresh baked goods requiring immediate consumption
- Live plants or flowers (unless specifically offered for shipment)
Availability may vary by vendor and season.
Multiple Vendor Orders
The 406 Market proudly features products from multiple local vendors.
If your order includes items from different vendors, it may:
- Ship in multiple packages
- Arrive on different dates
- Be fulfilled from separate inventory locations
Customers will receive tracking information for each shipment when available.
Damaged Packages
If your package arrives damaged:
- Take photographs of the package and contents immediately.
- Keep all original packaging.
- Contact us within 48 hours of delivery.
- Include your order number and photos.
We will work with you and the shipping carrier to resolve the issue promptly.
Lost Packages
If your tracking information indicates your package has been delivered, but you have not received it:
- Verify your shipping address.
- Check with neighbors or household members.
- Contact the shipping carrier.
If you still cannot locate your package, please contact us so we can assist you.
Incorrect Shipping Address
Customers are responsible for providing an accurate shipping address.
Orders returned due to an incorrect address may require additional shipping charges before being resent.

Because many of our products originate from Iowa farms and small businesses, severe weather may occasionally delay processing or shipping.
We appreciate your patience during these situations.

Many products can be shipped directly as gifts.
