Local Delivery Policy

At The 406 Market, we're proud to make shopping local even more convenient by offering affordable local delivery to our surrounding communities. Whether you're ordering fresh produce, locally raised meats, handmade gifts, or Iowa-made products, we'll bring your order right to your door whenever possible.
Delivery Service Area
We currently offer local delivery to the following communities:

Delivery Schedule
Local deliveries are made during regular business days.
Delivery Hours
- Monday – Friday: 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM / 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM
- Saturday: 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM
- Sunday: No deliveries
Orders placed after our daily delivery cutoff may be delivered on the next available delivery day.
Order Requirements
- A minimum purchase may be required during busy periods or for deliveries outside city limits.
- Delivery fees are non-refundable once an order has been dispatched.
- Delivery availability may vary based on weather, road conditions, holidays, or high order volume.
Eligible Products
Most products sold by The 406 Market are eligible for local delivery, including:
- Fresh produce
- Locally raised meats
- Eggs
- Honey
- Fresh baked goods
- Pantry items
- Coffee and tea
- Handmade soaps
- Candles
- Boutique clothing
- Gifts
- Home décor
- Plants (seasonal)
- Gift baskets
- Iowa-made specialty products
Some oversized, fragile, or seasonal items may not qualify for delivery. Any restrictions will be noted during checkout.
Delivery Notifications
Customers will receive updates regarding their order, including:
- Order confirmation
- Notification when the order is being prepared
- Delivery confirmation once the order has been delivered
Receiving Your Delivery
Please ensure someone is available to receive your order if it contains perishable or temperature-sensitive items.
If no one is available:
- Non-perishable items may be left at a safe location at your request.
- Perishable items may only be left if you have provided authorization during checkout. Once delivered to the designated location, responsibility for the order transfers to the customer.
Delivery Instructions
During checkout, you may provide special delivery instructions, such as:
- Preferred drop-off location
- Gate or access instructions
- Apartment or suite information
- Other delivery notes
While we will do our best to accommodate requests, specific delivery times cannot be guaranteed.
Weather Delays
The safety of our staff and customers is our priority. Deliveries may be delayed due to:
- Severe weather
- Hazardous road conditions
- Flooding
- Winter storms
- Other unforeseen circumstances
If your delivery is delayed, we will notify you as soon as possible.
Missed Deliveries
If we are unable to complete a delivery because:
- An incorrect address was provided,
- We cannot safely access the property, or
- The customer cannot be reached when required,
additional delivery charges may apply before a second delivery attempt is made.
Order Pickup
Customers are always welcome to choose Free In-Store Pickup during checkout.
